I met Edith a couple of years ago at the bank (where I work) and during those two years I have watched her take care of her client one case at a time. It is rare to see such dedication and passion that she puts to help our Kababayans in trying to settle their claims. She is very organized, professional and most importantly, thorough.
Taking care of a legal matter is so much easier when you have a Kababayan who can relate to you and understand your values being a Filipina herself. Edith works a the Legal Assistant for the Law Offices of Sean Gjerde in Elk Grove for so many years now. They have established a polished system and trust that helps ease the process. Edith also travels all over Sacramento and sometimes to neighboring towns and cities just to make sure that it is convenient for her client. Because of these she has earned a lot of referrals from the Filipino Community and kept her busy just about every day of the week!
Edith though her busy schedule and being a workaholic knows how to run a well-rounded life. She makes sure that she is always in touch with her family and be there when they need her especially her kids. Edith when not working likes to go ballroom dancing (where she is very good at!) to keep her really fit. She enjoys occasional massages which I believe helped her a lot (aside from already good genes) in staying as beautiful as she is. She also likes to play bingo just for fun or cook good Filipino food for very close friends. I once had the honor of being invited to her home where she cooked crispy pata and mongo, ay naku sarap talaga!
When asked for her two cents in this kind of economy and times that we are all currently in...she simply says, it is really important to store up for rainy especially if you are not salaried and to live within your means.
