We are grateful for your dedication and support of the Filipino Classifieds which was founded and owned by Melanie Garcia for more than a year now. Her goal has always been to cater to the Filipino-American community. Her dedication in supporting community events and non-profit organizations are greatly appreciated by the community.
Melanie and her family are turning a new chapter in their life which will require a move to San Diego. When she approached me with the sale of the magazine I was concerned because it is not easy to let go of anything that is close to one’s heart. But I knew why she approached me. If you are a true Filipino, you know true family values. For this reason and many other parallels in principle and business ethics and experiences we agreed on the purchase. In light of professional parallels; I was a previous Business Specialist for Wells Fargo Bank and CEO of my company BizWiz Consulting and Marketing Solutions which I have established in 2002. I believe in the great enterprise and power of the small business owner and that is why I am a member of the NAPW (National Association of Professional Women).
Currently, I am building a consortium of businesses and a consortium of non-profits to support our communities in Sacramento and the surrounding counties. Giving back is a big part of my business practice.
Moving forward, our goal is to Filipino Classifieds. Notice the addition of the Kings ad (Maloof Sports and Entertainment) in this back cover. This is a first for us, and we are proud to have them. We will be announcing other additions to the benefit of your ad’s effectiveness and visibility. Our 20% discount extends to all new businesses up to Jan. 2011.
